PT, BA, BSc
Richard is originally from Jamestown, N.Y, where he received his first degree, a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in Biology from the State University College in 1974. Finding the career track to college professor was not to his liking, so he began exploring other options. After doing some volunteer work in physical therapy, he quickly realized that PT was the perfect field to satisfy his love of learning, teaching and helping others. After returning to college, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating from the School of Health Related Professions, Summa Cum Laude in 1981. After nearly 35 years practicing in New York City and Long Island, most recently serving 10 years as Director of Rehabilitation for a Workers’ Compensation practice at JFK International Airport, he has relocated to Okatie. He lives in Sun City with his wife of 32 years, and is now enjoying everything that this delightful area has to offer. He especially enjoys competing in track and middle-distance running events.
